Death Note

Death Note is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

The story follows Light Yagami, a brilliant high-school student who discovers a supernatural notebook called the Death Note. The notebook allows its user to kill a person by writing their name in it, provided the necessary conditions are met.

After deciding to use the notebook to eliminate criminals, Light becomes known as Kira. His actions attract the attention of the mysterious detective L, beginning one of anime and manga's most famous battles of intellect.
